Brown-outs and power failures can play havoc with sensitive computer systems and cause significant data corruption. In a worst-case scenario, you could lose irreplaceable data in a blink-of-the-lights. Even if you perform regular backups, you would not be able to recover files that were open when the system goes down. Once the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is installed, it will constantly monitor the mains supply and switch to battery power and enable the system to be shut down without data loss. The included software can even be set up to save your data and close down your computer automatically if the power fails while you are away from your desk. The UPS is supplied with a 7Ah SLA battery, RS232 interface cable and software. 750 or 1500VA models available:
